I don't think this set turned out nearly as well as my 2008 pictures. The weather was kind of crummy; foggy, cold, and overcast -- typical San Francisco I guess. Also, I wasn't able to get a good viewing angle. Nonetheless, I did get some decent shots and the kids dancing always makes it worth it.

The 2009 SF Carnaval Parade occurs this coming Sunday, May 24, 2009. I got some decent shots last year (), but I was really hoping to get a press pass so I could get unobstructed shots from within the street barricades. I guess I'll have to get up really early and stake out a nice vantage point along the route.

Going through other people's perl code reminds me of why I abandoned it for python in the first place.

I finally found a used copy for a decent price and Amazon Prime shipping. I guess I'll finally get to see what all the fuss is about.
